New Drawing: Civil War

This is one of the demo pieces I did while at the NAEA convention in Minneapolis with the Illustration Academy.

Messing with Keyla's new image

As mentioned in the comments to Keyla's post: I've messed with the levels and all way too much, but I'm just trying to bring focus to the piece. I've cooled the foreground figure down, and darkened him some more to bring him more into the foreground. I've darkened the background and the dress a bit. Also brought the face of the girl up in value, pushing the highlights.

Our latest open assignment

I darkened the foreground figure, lightened up the fabric and added some naples yellow to brighten it up. Any last suggestions?
